The these owner's prior had been re-muddled one too many times. It was broken up into little spaces that didn't work for their family life so they bought a lot to build a more open home from It went so well, we are currently designing a guest house at the lake home.

It was a challenge fitting this home for four plus mother-in-law suite on a small corner lot in the Mac Groveland neighborhood. Harder yet was that the city of St Paul was actively changing their zoning code while we were designing. Its currently under construction now

The owners of this home found a huge undeveloped lot with access to Lake Minnetonka through marshland to build this unique home. They had access to industrial scaled wood and steel beams which we incorporated throughout the house.

Rules and codes differ by county, township, and city, The main stipulation for this Lake Superior guest cabin was that it could have no more than 700 sq ft of finished interior space so we really packed it in while still giving it a spacious feel.
